TIME TRAVEL - OUR INSPIRATION
Today, a single flight can bring you to Vietnam. And for many travelers, Hanoi is where the North begins to make sense.
But we keep getting pulled back to a simple question: 400, 800, even 2,000 years ago, how did people arrive here? Who were they—merchants, migrants, refugees? And where was their first touchpoint when they reached this land?
That curiosity is what we call “time travel.” Not sci-fi time travel. No portals, no fantasies. Just a way of traveling: walking through the present while staying aware of the past layered beneath it. You’re still in today’s Hanoi—only you start reading the city as a long current, shaped by routes, traces, and quiet repetitions.
That’s why our symbol is built around moving “backward.” An airplane at twelve o’clock flying counterclockwise—a deliberate turn toward the past. Behind it, water curls into a circle, echoing the old sea routes people once relied on to reach this place. And that circle becomes three things at once: the sun, the clock, and a ship’s helm—one idea, repeated in different forms: orientation through time.
On paper, time looks linear. But when you move through a city, it often behaves like a spiral: you return to a place and touch a different story—and you notice you’ve changed, too.
That is why we are building a middle guiding layer—a “game world,” or, metaphorically, a “time travel engine”—to lead travelers through those layers of the past, right here in Vietnam.
